Shrek Tour: Winter 2013

The Shrek Show did not go south for the winter. It was cold. Very, very cold. We had to say goodbye to Chase Todd, but got to say hello to Andrew Metzgar and Ian Frazier. February was one big one-nighter until we reached Salt Lake City, and then it was loooooovely.

The view from my room in Kitchener, Ontario. Sick. Winter is awful.

The drive to Akron OH. Still sick. Still cold.

Beautiful view from my room in Akron. Lots of sleeping. Lots of soup. Lots of sick.

I honestly don't remember where this is, but I love it. Maybe Rockford IL?

Shrek even finds us at rest stops.

I don't spend much time exploring cemeteries but maybe I should. This is a lovely, historic cemetery in Dayton OH where the Wright Brothers are buried.

One of the loves of my life - Boston Stoker. Best coffee in Dayton!

I was mad at Dayton for two weeks. It was cold. Just cold. All the time.

Best part of Dayton - a visit from Mattie Troillett, and his friends Amber and little Grace!! (not pictured, other best parts of Dayton: visits with Jerome Doerger, Ashley Munzek, Dionysia Williams!!)

Paducah KY: KatieBug needed to be distracted during a show. So the following are part of her Flat Stanley mission...it's good to be 6!

A KatieBug / Espi moment backstage

A visit from Ivory on a very snowy night in Portsmouth OH

I finally got a stamp in my passport for visiting Canada. Thunder Bay ON wins for cold. This is Lake Superior - frozen.

Manhattan KS is always one of my favorite stops. Lots and lots of visits from friends and family. And apparently I hate them all because I took ZERO pictures.

Overland Park KS: celebrated Mr. Chase's 2nd birthday! And Haven and Avery came to the Shrek show.

Avery loved Gingy (Schuyler) best of all.

Shrek is introduced to a Young Frankenstein tradition: lobby drinking.

That time the pizza delivery people wanted a photo

The prettiest picture of Hays KS I've ever seen. Photo credits to Brodes

That magical day we went to Mount Rushmore and it looked like this...

And then, the next day, when we went and it looked like this...

Driving through Montana

Sunrise in Butte MT

I'm not exactly sure where we were here... it was the travel day into Salt Lake City

The Mormon Temple                                                          Our amazing band during sound check

Salt Lake City is, literally, built in the middle of mountains. This is just a normal view - from Target

Lukey giving the Bug a ride to lunch between shows.
Looking down the main hallway at the Capital Theatre in SLC. It is lined with TONS of wall tags.
Shrek's contribution to the wall tags. It was, by far, the greatest one we had all tour. Made by Nicole Watts and Chris Reininger!

That time we thought we were saying goodbye to Ian. With Andy as Shrek and KatieBug as Baby Shrek.
