Project: 50 Trips to Take in the United States

I found an article on Twitter a few weeks ago and decided it was the perfect project for this new touring adventure I'm heading out on.  The article is called 50 Trips to Take in the United States and it was written for Business Insider:

Several of the things, I've already done. But I'm starting over and seeing how many I can conquer before May 2014. The first one was #17: Take an Iconic American road trip on Route 66.

It just so happens that much of our trip from Phoenix to Kansas City was along I-40, which is Route 66 in many places.

Some of the towns on Route 66 in New Mexico are pretty run down, and much of the route is in the middle of nowhere (West Texas / West OK), but there are little shops and tons of casinos along the way. Wanna read more about the route - OF COURSE, they have a Wikipedia page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Route_66

Here is Mason with a postcard to prove one things marked off the list!

I'm excited to win this race (that I totally set for myself) and to see things I haven't seen before. Best part of tour, for sure!!
