Getting ready to do the city switch

This is the ceiling of the Stanley Theatre. I wish I had a better camera to capture how beautiful it is, but this is just from my iphone...

Sometimes living in a hotel is pretty nice ... like the occasions where I actually let housekeeping in and I come back to this:

And then there are the times that my room smells of aged curry, and those times aren't that great. Which is the reason I actually let housekeeping in today. I was told by our marketing girl that they had this super duper air freshener that took care of that stuff. Now my room smells like curry and freshness. Delicious or no? (Kim, Erin... this could be a new version of the game)

Tonight was our second and last performance in Utica. Tomorrow morning, we head off for our first day on the Croswell (bus). Its been many moons since I walked back to the hotel and saw the bus sitting outside, and it just reminded me - fondly, but sadly - of our old bus driver, Jim. I miss ol' Jimbo! He took such good care of us. I met our driver tonight and I've heard that he is wonderful. I hope he still appreciates me after seeing the grouch that I can be early in the AM ;)

Utica has been great. Insanely busy, but we made it through tech in great shape. First load out is happening now and I feel a little guilty not being at the theatre, but I know they don't need me. Tomorrow, on to Worchester, MA.
